SCHOOL POLICY

RESUMPTION AND CLOSING TIME

Assembly starts at 7:50am daily.

Registration of pupils starts at 8:30am.

Classroom work starts at 8:40am.

Lateness is prohibited. All scholars MUST be in School before 7:45am.

School closes at 3pm from Mondays to Wednesdays, 2pm on Thursdays and 12:40pm on Fridays.

DRESS CODE

The pupils MUST come to school in the appropriate uniforms at all times.

The normal school uniforms should be worn on Mondays, Tuesdays  and Thursdays. The sportswear is to be worn on Wednesdays while the t- shirt should be worn on BLUE jeans on Fridays.

Only the school's cardigan is to be used on the uniforms.

The pupils must wear black shoes with navy blue socks on other days while trainers/ sneakers with white socks are to be worn on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Girls MUST plait neat hair styles fortnightly while boys MUST maintain a neat low cut.

Girls are advised not to use beads and attachment.

Any child that comes to school looking unkept is to be sent home.

Parents / Guardians should endeavor to tag/ brand/ mark their Children's/ Wards' belongings for easy identification.

Note that all uniforms are supplied by the school, any uniform produced elsewhere will be rejected.

The pupils are permitted to celebrate Birthdays in school in party clothes. The school is appealing to parents/ guardians of every celebrant to donate books to the school's Library in order to help build a reading culture in our children.

The celebrants' names, ages, classes as well as dates of donation should be written in each book.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

The pupils MUST not bring the following to school:

1) Toys

2) Phones

3) Money

The school will not hesitate to expel a disobedient child who refuses to be tamed in the following vices:

1) Examination malpractice

2) Pilfering

3) Bullying

The school has Preparatory Classes for pupils who do not meet expected standards.

The pupils MUST do all Homework by themselves; assistance from adults should not extend beyond additional explanation.

Parents / Guardians MUST not send any person to pick up a child on their behalf. Phone calls to this effect will be dishonored. Ensure that your children / wards know your contact numbers off hand.

Teachers are not to be called/phoned during teaching time. If the need arises, all calls at such times should be directed to the Management.

The school is to keep the pupils' text and exercise books. They will be given only the ones required for use at home from time to time.

Teachers are not to set examination questions for their classes, neither are they to mark. This responsibility is to be carried out by an Examination Committee.

Communication Books should be endorsed by parents/ guardians daily. All correspondence to be carried out via this medium. Parents/ Guardians are to visit the classrooms ONLY when invited or on Open Days.

Parents / Guardians are enjoined to attend all school functions which are to be organized from time to time.

We advise that parents/ guardians should draw home time table for their children/ wards. Those who do not know how to go about this should meet the school for assistance.

No matter how tight one's schedule is, we advise that you BUY time to spend with your children/ wards especially concerning their academics. Even questions such as these ones may help out.

1) What did you learn in school today?

2) What is your own opinion of it?

3) What homework were you given?

4) Have you done it?

5) Let me have a look at it.

You are your children's/ wards' most influential teachers. If you want them to embrace reading, you Must read from time to time in their presence, at home.

Endeavor to follow up the academic progress of your children/wards by communicating with the school often. Most children who do well in school are those whose parents/ guardians make extra sacrifices of their resources.
